Please mark your calendars for this exciting event being hosted by the Western North Carolina Chapter.  The members are creating another exciting professional development event and we'll be updating our site as information becomes available.

Room Reservations & Check-In/Out Times

Contact the Resort Directly for Reservations (Toll Free: 1-800-845-0353).  Identify yourself as an “IMA Conference Attendee” and refer to Group # 22654 when making the reservations to receive the conference rate.  In the Lodges, there are Studio, One Bedroom and Two bedrooms available and in the Tower North, there are two-bed room and three bedrooms. 

 Continuing Professional Education - 13 Hours for full conference participation

Program starts at 11:30 AM on May 1, 2003 with the “Financial Executive of the Year” Luncheon hosted by Tom Patton, President Elect of the Council.  Our speaker will be Margaret Butler, IMA National President. 

We will have a Key Note speaker to be named in Late January, followed by Brian Blasko, Consultant, motivator, terrific communicator and Author (Crusin’ Through Life at 35 MPH).

Friday we will have Dr. Rob Lippert, Director of the Daniel Management Center at the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business.  His presentation called “Follow the Money” will look at what went wrong at Sunbeam and a review of the basic Financial Statements to help us all understand the current Ethic Crisis. 

After lunch, we will hear from Jerry Pribanic, CFO Milliken & Company and he will be speaking on  “Career Insurance”.   Followed by Mr. Chris Catton, CPA, Senior Manager, Deloitte & Touche presenting "Changes in the Accounting Profession."

 Fun and Games 

Golf will be available for those interested.  On Friday night, we will have our traditional Family dinner with Fun, Games, Bingo, Prizes, Auctions and More. 

 Leadership Training Session

Saturday morning after breakfast, there will be a leadership conference for all chapter Officers to learn what their roles will be in the current year.  All new officers and directors from each chapter are advised to attend. 

 Council Meeting

The Carolinas Council Meeting will follow the Leadership Conference and should be completed by 12:30 PM.
